Game 10 - Blue Jays @ Yankees April 7th Game Recap
Even the Writers Take Off Days
You will have to excuse the brevity today. I was in a softball tournament yesterday and I watched zero baseball and saw 5 min of hockey on Sunday. Here is my hall pass for being absent.
OH! That looks like a gold medal. Yes, we won the tournament! I pitched in the first and part of the last game. I even managed a real hit in the championship round. It was a fun day. I’m looking forward to next year. If it gets me out of another 5th starter start for the Blue Jays, I think that will be ok.
The one good thing I see in the box score is that all the hits came from Springer, Bo and Vlad. They get to go home now with the top of their rotation and a chance to get right. I was asking for 2 of 3 in New York, but those three getting hits in back-to-back games is an ok consolation.
SECTION INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK (audit humor)
Season (4-6) Player of the Game: Bo Bichette (1)
Season PotG: WINS: Biggio (1), Schneider (1), Turner (1), Kikuchi (1) LOSSES: Springer (2), Varsho (1), Kiermaier (1), Schneider (1)
The Rest of the East
Tampa Bay (5-5) - Another “did just enough” to get the win. Waiting on this team to establish an identity.
Baltimore (5-4) - Is Pittsburgh legit? Where did the Orioles bats go? To Toronto?
New York (8-2) - They beat the Jays, I care not to see the specifics. Looks like they beat up on the Jays fifth starter. Congrats.
Boston (7-3) - At some point they will play a real team and we can make a decision on how we feel about the authenticity of this 7-3 start to the season.
